Schor celebrates diversity and community for Week of Respect

Posted Date: 11/05/25 (9:00 AM)

Schor Middle School celebrated the Week of Respect, Oct. 6-10, with a series of school-wide activities designed to foster respect, celebrate diversity, and build community!  Counselors delivered lessons on bullying prevention and invited students to design their own “Keys to Respect,” writing personal commitments to respectful behavior on paper keys. These keys tied into this year’s school slogan, “Unlock Your Potential,” and were proudly displayed in the hallways and cafeteria. Homerooms participated in a door decorating contest highlighting the theme of respect. The homerooms with the winning designs celebrated with an ice cream party! Student-led morning announcements centered around the theme of respect and students had the opportunity to earn Caught Ya Being Kind tickets, to recognize acts of kindness, which could be redeemed for prizes.
